Privacy policy

We never sell your personal data. We never share it with advertisers or data brokers.

The promise

OutOfFrame is not ad-tech. We do not sell your name, email, location, chat, photos, or reports. We do not rent, trade, or give that data to anyone so they can market to you. We do not put you on a third-party list.

If a court or the law forces a disclosure, we share only what we must. We tell you when we are allowed to. That is the only time your personal data leaves us for someone else.

What this covers

This page is about personal data — things that can point to you. Public camera pins and sourced notes are meant to be public when they post. Those are not sold as a people file.

What we collect now

Accounts, alerts, and reporting are not open yet. Today you may send chat text to the landing guide. The company that hosts this site may see basic page views so the site can stay up. That is not advertising, and we do not sell those views.

What we may collect later

When join, alerts, or reports open, we may keep an email you give us, a camera report, a photo, or a saved place. We will ask first for location. We still will not sell that data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Location

Quiet pings need location with a clear yes. We prefer distance checks on your phone, and we keep as little raw GPS as we can. You can change or revoke this in alert settings when alerts ship.

Reports and photos

When reports ship, evidence photos strip hidden photo data on our side and blur faces by default before a pin can post. Home cameras stay on the block unless a reporter opts into a tighter pin under the rules. We do not store one-shot plate or name lookups.

Chat

The landing guide answers product questions and points you to a next step. Do not send a home address you would not want stored. We do not sell chat text, and we do not use it to train a model on your private location.

Catalogs and identifiers

We do not query live Flock, Axon, police, or fusion systems. A public-catalog watch, when it ships, needs proof you own the plate or control the email. That watch is never a watch on someone else.

How we use it

We use personal data to run OutOfFrame — to answer a question you asked, to post a report you sent, or to ping you when you asked for a ping. We do not use it to build an ad profile. We do not use it to watch a person who did not ask.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it to run the feature you used. Chat is not a permanent dossier. You can ask us to delete an account or a saved place when those exist.

Your choices

You can use the public pages without an account. Location is off until you say yes. You can leave the join list when that list is real.
